In the atrium of the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, students of Exhibition Design and Scenography perform the results of a workshop from the past summer semester.

On two evenings, a site-specific composition "Emitting Space" by Hamburg composer Michael Maierhof, performed by the LJE Landesjugendensemble Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg, will take place in the unique space of the atrium of the HfG.

Sound defines space and our perception of it, it moves us on an emotional level. Questions that moved seminar participants and should now also move the audience of the concerts: But how does space define sound? And how does sound relate to the visual?

The aim of the project is to thematize the Lichthof as the subject of an artistic, acoustic confrontation that has far more to offer than the classical dispositif of the concert hall.

We are looking forward to your coming and to a common, sonorous and special experience!
