composting

composting is a project by lukas fuetterer and frank bierlein. They create sound using several analog and digital feedbackcycles: one between the speakers and the artists' laptop-microphones, a second one consisting of the audioconnections between the two laptops and a third existing only within the virtual enviroment of the self-programmed audiosoftware. The physical room and all soundsources inside of it provide the basis for the following transformation: the sounds in the room are collected, transformed, spitted out again, and can then enter the composting cycle once again to be split up into smaller parts and rearranged by the artists and their software. the so produced and arranged sounds reflect the singular (unique), momentary situation in which composting and their audience are located.
