Die HfG Karlsruhe ist in der Weststadt in einem ehemaligen Industrie-Hallenbau an der Lorenzstraße untergebracht. Das 320 Meter lange Gebäude ist nicht zu übersehen. Im gleichen Gebäude ist auch das ZKM untergebracht. Der Eingang an der Westseite ist über die Lorenzstraße zu erreichen. Der Eingang an der Ostseite liegt gegenüber den Neubauten von Arbeitsagentur und Bundesanwaltschaft.

Von der Autobahn (A5), Ausfahrt Karlsruhe Mitte, über die Südtangente, Ausfahrt 4 ZKM, auf der Brauerstraße Richtung Innenstadt, an der zweiten Ampelkreuzung links in die Südendstraße, die  erste Straße rechts ist die Lorenzstraße.

The Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design is located in West Karlsruhe, housed in a former industrial hall in the Lorenzstraße. The 320 meter long building is hard to miss. The Center for Arts and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM) is also found on the same premises. The western entrance is accessible via the Lorenzstraße. The eastern entrance faces the newly built Employment Office and the Offices of the Attorney General.

From the main train station, take tram 2 in the direction of the ZKM until the ZKM station. The Karlsruhe University for Arts and Design is on the left. From the center, take tram 2 in the direction of the ZKM until the “Arbeitsagentur” station. The Karlsruhe University for Arts and Design is on the right. Alternatively take tram 5 in the direction of Rheinhafen to the Lessingstraße stop. The Karlsruhe University for Arts and Design is on the left.

By car

Exit the A5 autobahn at Karlsruhe Mitte, cross over the southern tangent and take exit 4, sign-posted ZKM. On the Brauerstraße, continue northwards past the Europahalle (in the direction of the town center), then take the first left into the Südendstraße, then at the next chance turn right onto the Lorenzstraße, where you will immediately see the building. The entrance is on the Lorenzstraße, and marked with a sign reading HfG.
